A more suburban environment from DC’s other nearby communities, Vienna has the most independent feel, with plenty of mom and pop restaurants and shops that welcome you to the area.
Living in Vienna
Vienna has been named one of the “Best Places to Live in America” by Money Magazine, thanks to its small-town charm and proximity to DC. Vienna was incorporated in 1890 and still preserves its historic Main Street vibe, complete with boutique retailers and local eats. While the downtown area is very walkable, getting around the rest of Vienna is best by car.
Top schools in the area include Our Lady of Good Counsel and Marshall, while City of Falls Church also has excellent public schools.
